When we hear about Lourdes, it is most often about the processions, hearing the Ave Maria being sung, the Rosary being said, the water from the Grotto, the graces, the healings, the miracles, the impossibilities that become realities. When you are in Lourdes, you find that you have a place in this crowd of people from all different walks of life, people who are taken up as much by what they experience through being with others as they are by their relationship with God. From near or far, when we turn to Our Lady of Lourdes, we undoubtedly benefit from the welcome that was reserved for Bernadette and then we, in turn, extend the experience that she had.
